i had no luck in florence with couchsurfing but i found a host just outside of florence. since i had some time before i had to be there i explored the chianti region between florence and siena.
and came by places where i wished i wouldn’t travel on a low budget
but i didn’t feel i miss a lot 😉
my host linda lives in an old farmhouse which her father restored after nobody lived there for a while.
almost everything we were eating was coming directly from the gardens and the animals living there. my favourite in the evening. fresh bread with ricotta cheese and honey on top – mmh!!!
on the first day we went to the Terme di Petriolo.
and went out for some beers afterwards. on the second to the sea at pisa. from left to right, sarah (couchsurfing guest from the sister), linda (host) and ljuba (russian friend of a friend)
the second evening i spent with sarah who also stayed a day longer – sadly linda had to work. we sat on top of the hill with a beer and watched the incredible nightsky.
concert this time, while we were driving in the car with the bumpy italian streets beneath us was quite an adventure. thanks to linda, family and friends for a great couchsurfing experience!
Hi Matze,
